AI Readiness Scorecard

Ten questions about how your marketing operation actually runs. No email required to see your score, and nothing is stored. It takes about three minutes.

The questions are the ones that decide whether AI helps a team or just makes its existing problems faster: whether the workflow is written down, who owns quality, how clean the member data is, and whether anyone can say what content is worth. Most teams score lower than they expect on documentation and higher than they expect on capability.

1How is your content workflow documented?
2Do you have written voice and style standards?
3Who reviews content before it publishes?
4How clean is your member or customer data?
5How many AI tools does your team pay for?
6Can your team publish at the cadence you have committed to?
7Does your organization have a written position on AI use?
8How does your staff actually use AI today?
9Can you say which content earned its production cost?
10Does leadership expect AI to change how the team works?

Want the written version?

The score tells you which band you are in. The written breakdown tells you what the score means for your specific operation: which of the ten areas to fix first, what fixing it involves, and which ones can wait without hurting you. Joe Post writes it and sends it back, usually within two business days.

Free. There is no call attached to it, and you are not added to anything you did not ask for.

What the score does and does not tell you

Ten questions cannot see your organization. What the scorecard does well is separate a tooling problem from a process problem, and those get confused constantly. A team scoring in the bottom band does not need a better AI tool. It needs a documented workflow, because AI applied to an undocumented process produces output nobody can review.

If you want the version that does see your organization, that is the AI Readiness Audit: interviews with your team, a review of your systems and published content, and a sequenced plan with costs attached. Fixed fee, two to three weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to give you my email to see my score?

No. The score appears as soon as you answer the ten questions. The email form is for the written breakdown, which is a separate thing and also free.

How is the score calculated?

Each question is worth 0 to 3 points across ten areas, for a maximum of 30. The bands are: 0 to 10 foundations first, 11 to 17 partly ready, 18 to 24 ready to pilot, 25 to 30 ready to scale. The scorecard also shows your three lowest-scoring areas, which is usually the more useful output.

Is this scored against a benchmark?

It is scored against what an AI content operation needs to function, not against other organizations. Adtelic does not have a large enough sample to publish peer benchmarks, and inventing one would make the number look more precise than it is.

Who is this for?

Marketing, communications, and operations leaders running a small team against a real publishing obligation. It was written with associations and nonprofits in mind, and mid-market companies get the same value from it because the failure modes are the same.

What happens to my answers?

Nothing. Scoring runs in your browser and the answers are not sent anywhere or saved. If you fill in the form afterward, Adtelic gets what you typed into the form and nothing else.
